Visor For HJC RPHA-91 HJ-37

The HJC RPHA 91 is a new modular helmet that is designed by HJC for all-day comfort. This new premium Touring helmet is the successor to the HJC RPHA 90 and is improved, according to HJC, on the visor, chin bar and noise reduction. The RPHA 91 is tested according to the new strict ECE 22.06 and is P/J Certified, which allows you to ride with the chin bar open.

The RPHA 91 will compete with other premium modular helmets including the Shoei Neotec 2, Schuberth C5, AGV Sportmodular, Scorpion Exo-Tech EVO Carbon, AGV Tourmodular, X-Lite X-1005 Ultra Carbon, Shark EVO GT, Nolan N100-5 Plus and the Roof Boxxer Carbon.

Material

The RPHA 91 is made out of HJC’s new Premium Integrated Matrix EVO or PIM Evo in short. This consists of multiple layers of Carbon-aramid, Carbon fiber, Fiberglass, organic non-woven fabric and natural fiber. This new way of creating fiberglass helmets made sure that the shock-resistance increased and made the helmet lighter by using reinforced materials.

The RPHA 91 comes in 6 sizes and 4 outer shell sizes. The more outer shell sizes a helmet has the better. A smaller outer shell ensures a better fit, is safer and a compact helmet also looks better.

Visor

The visor of the RPHA 91 is the HJ-37 visor which is Pinlock lens prepared, which is included in the box. The Pinlock lens that is included in the box is a Pinlock 120 lens. A Pinlock lens is one of the best features a helmet can have, since this ensures that the visor will never fog up while riding.

HJC has made a new visor locking system. This is a push and release system which prevents the visor from opening accidentally. This push and release system is a small black lever on the side of the visor that you can push forward to open the visor.

The RPHA 91 also has an integrated sun visor that is anti-fog treated. The sun visor functions as a pair of sun glasses that will protect your eyes from UV. This sun visor can be adjusted in the depth to ensure an even better fit for your head shape. You can adjust the sun visor 5mm and 10mm forward compared to the standard position. The sun visor can be put up and down by the slider on the side of the helmet.

Comfort

The inner lining of the RPHA 91 is 3D engineered, removable, washable and anti-bacterial. The inner lining should reduce the wind and noise while riding. The advanced anti-bacterial lining is better moisture wicking and has a quick-dry function. This ensures that your helmet will not have any unwanted smells.

The cheek pads are interchangeable for custom fitting. This can be done for all sizes and ensures that you will get the perfect fit for the helmet.

Features

The chin bar of the RPHA 91 has some great features. The RPHA 91 is P/J certified which means you may ride with the chin bar open. HJC has put a lock in the helmet, that makes it possible to lock the chin bar and ride with it open more safely. This ensures that the chin bar won’t close unwanted, so you can focus more on riding.

When the chin bar is open it will retract to make it easier to put it on. In addition, the lock of the chin bar will hide automatically in the open position. The closure of the RPHA 91 is a Double-D Closure.

The RPHA 91 is also prepared for the SMART HJC 50B communication or SMART HJC 21B Communication system. These communication systems are fully integrated when mounted on the helmet. Because they are fully integrated you will have an optimal weight balance and you won’t sacrifice on the aerodynamics. And it will also look better. HJC has put grooves inside the helmet so that riders can wear their glasses while riding.
