Scorpion EXO-520 EVO AIR ELAN White-Blue

The Scorpion EXO-520 EVO is the new entry-level helmet from the Korean brand Scorpion. This helmet is the successor to the 520 Air thanks to the new 22.06 certification, this means the helmet meets stricter safety requirements. This helmet is a sport-touring helmet, designed with great aerodynamics and all-day comfort.

Material

The EXO-520 EVO is made of polycarbonate. Polycarbonate helmets tend to be a bit on the heavier side but offer more than enough safety when needed. The helmet is available in 7 sizes and comes in 3 outer shell sizes. The more outer shell sizes a helmet has the better, not only does this look better and more compact, but it’s also a lot safer.

Visor

The EXO 520 EVO has a 2D visor, offers a wide field of vision, is anti-scratch and Pin Lock Lens prepared. A pin lock lens prevents the visor from getting foggy, and is included with the EXO 520 in the box. Additionally, this helmet has an integrated sun visor that you can control with a slider on the side of the helmet, making it easy to adapt to the (sun)light when riding.

Ventilation

The vent on the chin can be adjusted into multiple positions with a slider. Additionally, the top of the helmet is fitted with three vents that are also adjustable with a slider. The warm air flows out through an air outlet on the backside of the helmet.

Comfort

This helmet has a round-oval fit with a buckle that has a ratchet closure. The helmet’s inner lining is removable, washable and antibacterial. It’s interior is fitted with 3D cheekpads for optimal fit.

Features

Under the corners of the visor are speaker pockets, designed for Scorpion’s ExoCom system. Inside the helmet are Kwik-Fit cheekpads that allow riders with glasses to easily put them on and take them off. Furthermore, the helmet is equipped with an important safety measure, the Emergency Quick Release, that allows you to easily and safely remove the cheekpads should the need ever arise.
