Xena 3 Ladies’ Jacket
The Revit Xena 3 Ladies Racing Jacket is a true improvement on its predecessor. Rev’it has already addressed the complaints of the previous model without compromising on safety. Revit has adjusted the pattern so that it now adjusts better for fit, you have more mobility, and it feels more comfortable. The Revit Xena III comes in 4 different colors from size 34 to 44 for a recommended retail price of 380 euros. At this price, this jacket will be competing with the Dainese Racing 3, Dainese Assen, Dainese Avro 4, and the Alpinestars GP Plus jackets.
Material
The Xena 3 is mainly made of cowhide leather with some 3D Airmesh just under the collar and PWR shell stretch fabric on the insides of the arms and the sides. These should really just give you some more flexibility as well as more cooling as you ride. The front of the jacket is perforated leather so you’ll be getting some more air in that way and you’ve got some accordion material in the sides and shoulders to give you that extra little bit of reach.
Protection
Besides material, Revit didn’t skimp on protection either. The Revit Xena3 already comes with SEEFLEX CE level 2 protection in the shoulders and elbows. The jacket also comes with an option to add the SEESOFT CE level 2 back protectors, which are sold separately, but are always a good idea. Unfortunately though, unlike some of Revit’s other jackets, the Revit Xena Three does not come prepared for chest protectors. Other than padding, the leather on this jacket should give you some good abrasion resistance against the road. Lastly, the jacket also comes with a short double zipper and belt loop that you can use to combine the jacket with the Revit Xena 3 pants, which’ll make sure the jacket doesn’t ride up on you if anything unfortunate happens.
Comfort
The Xena 3 does well for comfort by giving you a full range of motion. It also comes with two pockets in the front, but since they’re lined with mesh, you should be able to get some air in through there. If you peel back the liner, the jacket’s interior is also made of the same mesh, so the Xena 3 should really serve you in a variety of conditions whether hot or cold. You also get some liner pockets, if you need.
Other
The adjustability on the jacket is really nice to see. The jacket is done up with a zipper with two nice Velcro straps at the collar and the bottom of the jacket to really make sure that the zipper stays in place. There is also some adjustability in the sleeve with a Velcro strap and a zipper, which should make wearing it a bit more comfortable. And, lastly, there is also a Velcro belt on either side of the waist to help fit it to your form.
