Revit Spark Air Jacket Review
General information
The jacket is meant for the warmer periods and has a suggested retail price of €219.99. This puts the jacket in the mid-range segment. The jacket is available in two different colors, anthracite and blue. The jacket is available in sizes S through XL.
Materials
The Spark Air is made of three different types of material. The first material I would like to highlight is the special 3D mesh that makes up most of the jacket. The entire outside of the jacket, except for the inside of the arms and thighs, is made of this special 3D mesh. This is a knitted fabric with an open 3-dimensional structure. The material should provide extra airflow to the body. Due to this airflow, the wind moves easily through the jacket and you stay nice and cool while riding in warm weather. The 3D mesh is not located on the thighs and the inner side of the arms. This is because the second material the jacket is made of is located here. The so-called stretch polyester has been added to the jacket in these places for extra freedom of movement while riding a motorcycle. The polyester is primarily characterized by the stretchability of the material, but it also offers tear protection. The last material that is processed on the jacket is reflective material. There is a horizontal reflective strip located on the chest that extends to the back. This has been added for extra visibility when driving on the road. The reflective strip is especially useful when you ride a motorcycle at night or in twilight weather.
Protection
The Revit Spark Air is equipped with shoulder and elbow protection and also contains Level 1 SEESMART protection. The protectors are very easy to remove. The SEESMART protectors feel soft around the joints and are blue in color. Although the protection feels soft, it is still able to absorb heavy blows and thus impact. The Spark Air is also prepared for the TYPE RV back protector in SEESOFT material. The material of SEESOFT and SEESMART have basically the same characteristics. They both feel soft and offer good protection against blows and unexpected impacts.
Comfort
The Spark Air has two very spacious jacket pockets, located at the front. The pockets are added for convenience and to keep things safe. The motorbike jacket, on the other hand, has no inner pockets. The Spark Air has a non-detachable hood that is secured with a push button. This way, you don’t have to worry about the hood flapping when riding in windy conditions. The sleeves of the Spark Air have thumb loops at the end of the sleeves. These serve as windcatchers but also relieve the wrists while riding. During the production of Spark Air, Revit took the design into account. Revit wanted to develop a motorbike jacket that had a casual and sporty appeal.
