Revit Quantum 2 One-piece Suit Product Description
The Revit Quantum 2 One-Piece Suit is coming as the new mid-tier racing suit sitting alongside the Hyperspeed and Revit Triton. This suit is going to be taking over from the Quantum, which means that Revit have tinkered with the material composition to give you better performance and they’ve also improved on the previous suit’s ventilation, but these improvements are going to be coming on top of what was already an excellent suit not only in style, but safety and performance.
With a recommended retail price of about 1000 Euros, or 1200 USD, the suit will be competing with the Dainese Laguna Seca 5 and the Alpinestars GP Plus V3 Suits.
Material
For material, Revit have made some major changes throughout to give you a more streamlined construction. This means that almost the entire Rev’It! Quantum 2 OPS is going to be this Monaco leather cowhide with a dull matte finish.
This is Revit’s track ready leather and the major change that this switch has coincided with is that the suit is now prEN 17092 certified to Class AA. If you’re not sure what that means, it is the new standard for protective riding gear that tests abrasion differently and is going to make sure that your clothing performs to a certain standard, in this case either Class A, AA, or AAA.
Moving on, in the flex zones around the chest, arms, and legs, we’re getting PWR shell stretch fabric for comfort and there is a nice, soft neoprene in the collar and cuffs. Lastly, the mesh around the collar is Revit’s new PWR Fuse mesh, which is a stronger design than previous Revit air meshes.
Safety
Next up for safety, Revit have kept that same strong recipe for safety with BETAC MotoGP protectors while adding a few more things to the mix to spice things up. So, in the shoulders, elbows, and knees, we are getting BETAC CE Level 1 protectors, which is the same company that Revit use in their MotoGP suits, and the hips are coming with SEESMART CE Level 1 safety for some added coverage.
To upgrade this further, which is always a good idea, the Rev’It Quantum 2 Motorcycle Suit is prepared for CE Level 1 divided SEESMART chest protectors while in the back you have space for a SEESOFT CE Level 2 back protector.
In addition to these, Revit have kept the dual comp TPU sliders in the shoulders and knees in addition to the external protectors in the elbows and knees. The knee slider is also held on with Velcro to make switching it out easy and quick. And, while we have a similar coccyx protector, we are now getting a new double layered seat for extra abrasion resistance and comfort.
Comfort
The Revit Quantum Two One-Piece Leather Suit has been ergonomically designed to make sure it will keep you comfortable. To start with, Revit have added plenty of elastication throughout with these inserts above the knee, upper chest, back of the waist, and in the elbow, which will also work with that stretch fabric to comfortably get you into that tucked position.
In addition to this stretch, you are still getting that massive level of ventilation as the previous Quantum racing suit with perforations all along the chest, arms, thighs, and back, and you also have that full mesh speed hump on the back. If you’re out racing on the track, then the speed hump will also double as a space to house the Revit Hydra bag hydration system, which you can also use with a prepared helmet.
To get into the suit, you have a Velcro tab at the top in addition to the main zip down the front. Inside, you have a removable and washable interior with a single interior pocket for any smaller items and it is all very nicely finished, so nothing to complain about there. To make getting in easier, Revit have also given you zips in the sleeves and you also get another set in the calves to make putting boots on more comfortable.
Summary
The Revit Quantum 2 One Piece Suit is bringing a lot to like. It features improvements in ergonomics and this aggressive design while still bringing that racing level safety and certification all at the same price as its predecessor, which is a great development from Revit.
