The Revit Quantum 2 Motorcycle Gloves are designed to fit the Quantum 2 suit or jacket. This is a full race-spec long cuff glove from Revit built for comfort and safety while emphasizing its aggressive style. Its full leather construction, with TPU inserts throughout, covers main impact areas as well as providing ventilation for hotter rides.
These gloves are a great mid-range choice coming at a recommended retail price of about 170 Euros, or 200 USD. This means that they’ll also be competing with the Dainese Carbon 3 Long, Alpinestars GP Plus R, and the Icon Hypersport GP gloves.
Material
To maintain a high level of abrasion resistance and comfort in the Revit Quantum Two Sport Glove, Revit have used a wide variety of materials. In the palm, complete goat leather construction is combined with cowhide leather on the top of the hand. The little finger even comes with an additional layer of goat leather on top for abrasion resistance. The back of the thumb comes with a secondary goat leather reinforcement panel.
The back of the cuff is constructed of synthetic polyurethane leather, the bottom of the cuff features perforated synthetic leather and the area under the cuff strap includes extra 3D air mesh for ventilation. For further protection against wear and tear, the Revit Quantum 2 is held together with Revit’s reinforced PWR Yarn.
Safety
Since this is coming as a racing spec glove, the Rev’It! Quantum 2 Long Gloves comes with a strong focus on safety features. Starting in the fingers, you’re getting TPU hard shell (thermoplastic urethane) inserts along the knuckles, just like on the Revit Jerez 3, which gives it the same iconic talon-like look.
There is also a massive TPU protector in the cuff. In the thumb, there is a hard shell slider, and another one to match it in the palm, so if you are in a spill and you put your hands out, you’ll benefit from some protection there. Revit have even partially ventilated it to make sure you still get enough airflow while on the road. Lastly, the fingers are coming with soft Temperfoam inserts. These are unique to Revit and though not CE certified, will likely help with impact absorption without affecting comfort.
Comfort
For comfort, the Revit Quantum 2 Leather Gloves offer plenty to look forward to. The leather in the glove is already nice and soft, and it’ll break-in nicely as well. Its handlebar friendly construction with extra leather panels in the palm ensure durability as you ride. As far as ventilation, the gloves offer a partially vented knuckle protector up top as well as extra perforation and mesh underneath the cuff. To put the glove on, there is a double cuff system with your main one first, and a secondary adjuster for comfort. Once on, it is very comfortable and that seamless construction will prevent any scratchy areas inside the glove.
Summary
The Revit Quantum 2 Gloves offer a formidable sport glove package at a strong price point. Overall, it stands up against its competitors nicely, even bringing an extra level of features with the Temperfoam and the large amount of TPU protection throughout.
