Revit Pioneer GTX motorcycle boots
The Revit Pioneer GTX motorcycle boots from Revit are semi-high leather motorcycle boots developed for the adventure tour rider. These all-season motorcycle boots make sure you are ready for your trip on and off the bike. They are made of high end materials and are CE certified which we will go into more detail at the protection of the boots.
These boots are designed for the adventure tour rider in any season of the year on the motorcycle, but also offer the comfort of an outdoor shoe for off the bike! Waterproof motorcycle boots are also easy to put on and take off.
Material
We are now going to start the review with the material part. The Revit Pioneer GTX motor boots are made of leather, among other things, and for this purpose two different kinds of leather are used. The first kind of leather we see is Full Grain Leather. Full Grain Leather is a very strong type of leather that is very durable, has a dense fiber structure and has the advantage that it becomes more beautiful as you use the product more often.
The second type of leather we see is suede. Suede is made from the underside of the skin and because of this is not the most durable leather but still strong and pretty soft leather.
In addition to the leather, rubber has also been used to counteract the wear of the shoe in places where they wear hard. Rubber has been used on the side of the shoe and on the toe of the shoe. In addition to the leather and rubber, Cordura has also been used on the flap and on the back of the shoe. Cordura is textile and can withstand very heavy loads.
The sole of the Pioneer GTX has a Vibram sole made in cooperation with Revit. This sole is specially developed for the adventure biker that offers the comfort of a hiking shoe. The profile of the sole has specific spots for grip, braking and stability.
Protection
The Pioneer GTX motorcycle boots are tested according to the EN 13634 certification. When we start looking and go deeper into this certification we see that it gets the highest rating on all 4 parts that the motorcycle boot is tested on. These are the height of the boots, resistance to wear, resistance to cutting and resistance to transverse stiffness (2-2-2-2).
In addition, the motorcycle boot is WR and SRB approved. The WR approval means that it is truly waterproof and the SRB approval indicates that the slip resistance has been tested on smooth steel.
Looking at the boot itself we see that there are Seesoft protectors placed at the tongue of the boot, an injected ankle cup, thermoformed heel cup, a TPU ankle disc and a reinforced side panel.
This in combination with the abrasion-resistant outer fabrics ensure a high level of safety while the wearing comfort of the motorcycle boot remains good.
Comfort
The Gore-Tex membrane guarantees that your feet stay dry during rainy days in addition to the breathable quality of the material for warmer days.
The OrthoLite insole provides comfort on the bike but also for everyday use or while hiking. In addition, there is a BOA system placed on the shoe. This is one of the easiest and user-friendly closures a motorcycle shoe can have. To release the system, you pull the round out and you can pull the shoe wide open. Then when you have put your foot in you push the button and tighten the system and you have a custom fit.
The motorcycle boot also has a shifting pad that is integrated into the rubber. This ensures that the motorcycle boots do not wear out as quickly.
