The Revit Mosca H2O Gloves are the latest addition to Revit’s entry level riding line. Though we already have the Revit Mosca gloves for summer and warm weather riding, the Mosca H2O are going to be building on that by switching some of the materials around and giving you a Hydratex waterproof layer. Nonetheless, you are still getting that same level of basic protection throughout with a knuckle protector and impact absorbing pads.
So, with a recommended retail price of about 60 Euros or 70 USD, the Rev’It Mosca H2O Waterproof Gloves will be competing with the Icon Contra 2, Alpinestars S Max Drystar, and the Dainese Mig C2 Gloves.
Material
For material, the Rev’It! Mosca H2O Motorcycle Gloves are mainly coming with a 2-way stretch textile construction in the back of the hand with goat leather in the palm. Both are abrasion resistant materials, and they are also going to offer you a decent level of starting comfort. For added comfort, the areas between the fingers are made of corduroy while the fastening strap is coming made of cowhide leather.
Gloves
The Revit Mosca H2O Riding Gloves are going to be coming with a decent level of starter safety. Starting with the knuckles, you’re getting viscoelastic knuckle protector which will offer a fair level of impact safety as well as allowing your hands to still move comfortably and naturally.
In the fingers, thumb, and palm, you’re also getting EVA foam, which means that these areas will have a bit more padding for impact absorption. In the palm, you also have an additional layer of PWR shield, which will allow also offer added abrasion protection.
For a higher level of safety, you can also check out something like the Revit Prime, Revit Chevron 3, or Revit Fly 3 depending on what look you prefer. Lastly, the gloves are Level 1 certified with the knuckle protector also tested, which is important since at this testing level, the knuckle is an optional test, and this shows Revit taking that extra safety step.
Comfort
The Revit Mosca H2O Gloves are going to be just as comfortable as their non-waterproof counterparts, so in this case that does mean more on the entry level side. First off, to put the gloves on, you have a Velcro strap in the wrist to help you get a good fit and once inside there are a set of stretch lips in the knuckles to allow you to comfortably bend your fingers.
Since the Mosca H2O are made of mainly textile, the break in time will be shorter. Besides this, the knuckle protector and corduroy do also give you a nice field of motion. Lastly, and this is the main feature of the glove is their Hydratex Z-liner. This means that the Revit gloves are waterproof and they have the membrane is laminated onto the interior for comfort.
Summary
The Revit Mosca H2O are mainly going to be bringing an entry level glove with a useful waterproof construction which will let you extend your riding season nicely without sacrificing too much on comfort.
